Again, it's been another 5 months since I've taken the time to update this blog... no big surprise! Each time I realize how long it's been, I feel like I should just delete it... but somehow I talk myself into making another attempt to keep it updated. So here goes...

We've been busy growing up! Sometimes I look at the kids & just cannot believe how big and grown up they are! It is so rewarding to see how they interact together... they really are best friends! I'm glad they are so close in age (17 months) because they have so many of the same interests at this age and can play together so well.

Wilson continues to be a wonderful big brother and really takes care of Isabella. He absolutely loves her and is quite protective of her. Very sweet! The other day Micheal took the kids to the park & another little boy walked past Isabella and pushed her. Wilson went up to that boy and told him he shouldn't push his little sister! I know Micheal was proud :)

Micheal is also very proud of the Star Wars fan he has created! They watch Star Wars movies and read the books together... they even play the Star Wars wii game together. It's super-cute to see the boys bonding! Wilson got bunk-beds for his room (made by Micheal's uncle Jay) and he even has Star Wars sheets/comforter!
Wilson still LOVES going to school 2 days/week... and he absolutely loves his teacher! He has even learned how to write his name. He always gets a good report from his teacher, she tells me he is the "best" kid in her class! One day she was bringing him out to the car and told me he was definitely her favorite :) That makes a mommy soooo proud!

Isabella is such a sweet, sweet little girl! She talks non-stop and is able to have entire conversations with us. She can be very demanding at times, but she usually follows the "rules" and doesn't get into too much trouble. If she does get in trouble, it's because she hit/bit her brother! The other night I found myself saying "She's just so intense!"--- which is exactly what my family used to say about me!! I'm glad to know she gets it honestly :)
Isabella adores Wilson and tries to keep up with him, doing everything he does. And she usually can! For Christmas she wanted a "princess scooter" and, of course, she got it. She's so cute riding around on it! She loves to have her hair fixed, nails painted, and lipgloss. She loves baby dolls and Barbies, and has to have them in her "big girl bed" with her.

She's growing up SO fast! She is even using the potty sometimes now! She loves to wear pull-ups or underwear (doesn't want a diaper anymore). I can't imagine what it's going to be like to NOT have to change diapers for the first time in almost 4 years! That will be nice!

Other than watching the kids grow up right before our eyes, we've just been working and trying to keep up with the kids!! I am training to run the Half Marathon in April. I'm up to running 9 miles (Woo Hoo!!!). The training has actually been really fun and every week I completely surprise myself in my ability to run that far! I have never been a "runner" and actually never ran more than 3.5 miles until January when I started this training program. It's amazing what you can do when you have support and accountability! I hope I keep it up after the marathon (I do better with goals, so I may commit to running another one in the fall... or at least some 5K's).

Ok- I guess I need to make a goal to keep this blog updated, huh? Let's see if I can do it...
