Easter 2009

We celebrated a wonderful Easter this year! We had to DRAG Wilson out of bed in time to get his basket from the Easter bunny before we went to 8:30 am mass. He doesn't really ever get any candy, so he didn't exactly know what to do with the candy-filled eggs... so here's a picture of him eating his "ole faithful" cereal bar (posing with Isabella's pink basket).

But Isabella acted like she knew exactly what was going on, and couldn't keep her little hands out of the Easter basket. Good thing the Easter bunny knew not to give her any candy! All she got was a rubber ducky, a rattle-thingy, and some baby food... YUM! But she sure does LOVE her bananas!

After we got home from church, we had a nice little breakfast and then played in Isabella's room for a while. Wilson's sporting Isabella's sunglasses...

And little miss sassy pants is showing off her new "sitting up" skills. This is what she taught herself when we weren't paying attention...

Oh, you thought I said "spitting up"? Well, yea, that too...

Then we headed off to the Meguiars' home to celebrate Easter with the whole family. Wilson had to get some hugs from his favorite cousin Audrey...

And before we ate lunch the little munchkins had an Easter egg hunt. Now, I was a little worried that Wilson (being the youngest of the 3 little munchkins) wouldn't know how to hunt eggs, or wouldn't catch on fast enough and not get any eggs in his basket. Well, apparently I shouldn't have worried about that. His basket was overflowing! Way to go WAM!

When all the eggs had been hunted, the kids sat down to take inventory of their baskets. Oh, and by now Wilson had figured out that there were M&M's in the eggs. Smart, eh?

All in all, we had a wonderful Easter 2009... and can't wait until next year when Isabella and baby Brady can play along!!!

Look at the big girl sitting up, love her sweet little dress! And aren't egg hunts fun? I laugh though at us parents going "there's one there's one there's one" We get a little competitive over here.
